About Soy
Why Soy?
Many reasons: Soy burns cleaner and longer than paraffin wax; Soy candles are natural because they’re made from vegetable oil. Soy is preferred because they are better for the environment, your families health, and the scent lasts longer than a paraffin wax candle.
Please store your soy candle away from windows and ultraviolet lighting Let your candle melt a full wax pool across the jar for your first burn. (about 2 hours) If not it will tunnel burn.
What is the oil/wetness on top of my candle?
This is called “Soy Sweat”. Since soybean wax has a lower melting point than paraffin wax, it can release excess moisture that it cannot hold (usually due to extreme temperature changes due to shipping). You can leave it or wipe it out with a tissue or paper towel.
Normally after your first burn the moisture disapears.
Sweat from soy candles will NOT affect the burn quality and will generally not show up again after your first burn.
If this has happened and your label is ruined, please let me know and I will promptly sent you a fresh label.
Why has my candle turned yellow?
We don’t use any additives in our soy candles; several factors will cause your candle to turn yellow after time. We strongly recommend displaying your candles in areas that do not have fluorescent lighting, direct sunlight or other strong lighting. Some oils have the ability to turn yellow very easy.
Fireside Marshmallows and Blueberry Cobbler are notorious for this!! This is also due to vanilla content.
This will NOT affect the burn quality of our candles.
Most customers burn their candles before it yellows.
